what is the definition of a true friend?

friends should be there for each other.
friends shouldnt leave each other out.
friends should share their joys and sorrows.
friends shouldnt feel restricted around each other.
friends should make each other feel good about themselves.
friends shouldnt bring each other down.
friends should be terribly honest with each other.
friends shouldnt hold back their constructive criticism.
friends should carry each other's burdens.
friends shouldnt leave each other to be crushed.
friends should stand together in the face of adversity.
friends shouldnt place each other under judgement.

yes you're right you're good.
but in your righteousness there is wrong.
in your clarity there is fog.
in your consciousness there is subconscious misunderstanding.
with your standards you impress on others.
but to say i want to do without you is uncalled for.
nobody's perfect.
